Mulch is used to give that clean, finished look to the property, but its main purpose is to protect plant material. Mulch protects the root system and retains water for plants. Edging the perimeter of the planting beds is performed to give a defined “landscaped” look. Plant beds are cleaned and weeded prior to mulching.
The final step is to install the mulch. Bark blowing is the method of using a mechanized bark blower to install the mulch.
